Li Ruiyang, Vice Director of Shanghai Education Committee and officials Visited Our School

On the afternoon of December 30, Li Ruiyang, Vice Director of Shanghai Education Committee, Li Wei, Director of Development Plan Department, and Gu Manfeng, Vice Director, paid an official visit to our school and listened to work report. President Ding Xiaodong, Vice President Shi Jianyong and main leaders of President’s office, Development Plan Department and Infrastructure Department were also present.

At first, Li Ruiyang and others observed our school’s Metro Transportation Operation Safety Testing and Evaluation Service Center, Automobile Parts Testing Technology and Equipment Research Center, Flying Simulation Technology Research Center, Shanghai University Knowledge Service Platform and Coordination and Development Basis of Production, Study and Research, and gave a high praise of the achievements our school has made in coordinated innovation with enterprise and knowledge service.

Later, Li Ruiyang and others listened to President’s report on “Implement internal and external construction, deepen engineering education reform” in Room 208 of Administrative Building. President Ding Xiaodong started with our school’s historical background and education characteristics, emphasized our future development direction and important tasks and pointed out that our school would take advantage of engineering education comprehensive trial point reform and insist on the three coordination pattern with the enterprise “joint education, joint talent development, joint innovation”, gradually build the upgraded pattern, enlarge the coverage space of cooperation between production and study,promote excellent education plan, build excellent innovative talent development platform of various types and features, build good internal and external environments for school development, making external development satisfy the needs of school’s internal construction development.

Director Li Wei recognized our school’s accomplishment made after 35 years’development, demanding our school to further determine the education orientation, clarify development scale, structure and layer, make development plan and realize big leap in development.

At last, Li Ruiyang pointed out that the idea of SUES to “Grasp important points and pursue breakthrough” in the process of development conforms to school’s characteristics, gradually forming the features of integrating with enterprises and emphasizing practice part of talent development. He also introduced the basics of “High Education Plan”, “Vocational Education Plan” and “Subject Construction Plan” Shanghai currently is making, asked our school to locate definitely in the process of development,  made great efforts in studying modern university system, insisted on own features, explored the ways and direction of system mechanism innovation, and tried to gain new breakthrough in the process of development.
