Features: this Major is a pilot training program approved by the Ministry of Education under the “Excellent Engineer Education & Training Program and a major under Shanghai Education Highland Project.

  

Oriented to industry needs related to national integration of telecommunications networks, radio and television networks, the Internet and national next-generation broadcast television network, knowledge of this Major mainly covers systems, structure and theoretical principles of the next generation radio and television network technology and the corresponding engineering practice; so the Major emphasizes the cross-subject clustering of the basic knowledge of radio and television, information and communication, computer network, etc., as well as cultivation of professional skills related to NGB network technology, 3Tnet technology, NGB media support platform technology, access network development, etc. The Major adopts “3+1” university-enterprise joint training mode, namely: 3 years’ study in SUES, accumulative 1 year’s engineering practice and graduation design in enterprises. Through the “theory + technology + application” teaching mode, students are expected to be trained into high-quality engineering talents who have innovative spirits, solid theoretical knowledge and strong engineering practice abilities.

Employment Orientation: graduates of this Major can engage in operation and maintenance of the next generation of radio and television networks, development of web equipments and business platforms, access network development, routing and switching equipment development, embedded terminal development, value-added business development, digital media production, portal webpage development and other related work.
