Li Jiang, male, born in August 1965 in Huangmei, Hubei Province, Han nationality, a member of the Communist Party of China, doctor of Economics, professor,is currently secretary of the Party Committee of Shanghai University of Engineering Science.

He graduated from University of Shanghai for Science and Technology with a bachelor’s degree in optical instruments in July 1988, and Fudan University with a master’s degree in international politics in July 1997.And then he obtained a doctorate degree in economics from Fudan University in June 2003.

From April 2011 to September 2012, he served as deputy secretary of the Party Committee and secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST).From September 2012 to December 2014, he served as deputy secretary of the Party Committee of USST and secretary of the Party Committee of Shanghai Publishing and Printing College.Since June 2015, he has been secretary of the Party Committee of Shanghai University of Engineering Science.

He has successively been elected as the second NPC representative of Nanhui District, the 11th NPC representative of Yangpu District, the 15th NPC Standing Committee member of Yangpu District, the chairman of the first Shanghai “Situation and Policy” and “Contemporary World Economy and Politics” sub-teaching steering committee, and the chief expert of Shanghai social science planning research project series. He has won the Shanghai Yucai Award (Award for Talents Cultivation), the first prize in Shanghai Teaching Competition of Military Theory Course in universities, and the honorary title of excellent ideological and political workers in Shanghai ordinary institutes of higher education.

His main directions of teaching and research are national economics, educational economics and ideological and political research.
