On the afternoon of October 29th, SUES and Kongju National University(KNU) held a signing ceremony to establish the International College of Creative Design. Dr. Li Jiang, Secretary of SUES CPC Committee, and Dr. Won Sung Soo, president of KNU attended the signing event. Dr. Xia Chunming, the vice president of SUES, presided the ceremony, and the directors of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office, the China-Korea Multimedia Design Institute and the Art and Design Institute also attended the ceremony.
Dr. Li Jiang, the leader of the CPC committee of SUES, delivered a speech at the signing ceremony, in which he briefed the basic situation of SUES and the strategic plan for international cooperation and exchanges, stating that the establishment of the International College of Creative Design carries the goal of training international creative talents, reforming the teaching model of design subjects, gathering high-quality educational resources and promoting cultural exchanges.Dr. Li emphasized that this cooperation is highly in line with the two countries' strategy of raising the level of practical cooperation and achieving high-quality integration and development, and will further contribute to the implementation of the international development strategy of SUES.
President Won Sung Soo of KNU expressed his great thanks to SUES for the careful arrangement and preparation for the online signing ceremony. President Won said that the two universities have built up close friendship, and that in the long-term cooperation and frequent communication a precious friendship had been formed. President Won was also full of confidence in the construction of the International College of Creative Design, hoping that the International College of Creative Design will gradually incorporate more programs on the basis of existing cooperative majors, train more high-level international talents in the field of art and design in the future, and strive to create a model of internationalization of higher education.
Under the witness of the participants from both sides, Dr. Li and Dr. Won, the leaders of the two universities, formally signed an agreement on the establishment of the International College of Creative Design. The signing of this agreement marks another new step of cooperation between the two sides, and the preparation of the International College of Creative Design has entered a new stage.
