On the afternoon of May 9, District · Mi -- the 2021 graduation design project press conference of School of Textiles and Fashion was held at the central garden of art building. Yu Tao, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and President of SUES, Cong Yuhao, President of Shanghai Customs College, Xia Chunming, vice president of SUES, nearly 200 guests from other universities, media and enterprises, as well as teachers and students inside and outside the university attended the conference.
The theme of this graduation project is District · Mi, which means to bridge the feelings isolated by the epidemic through sensory experience. From the perspective of paying attention to social ecology and their own mentality, the graduates have carried out a creative exposition on the current situation of human beings and future fashion around the five directions of contemporary interpretation of Oriental Culture, modern inheritance of traditional skills, fashion expression of Red gene, future imagination of digital intelligence and trend practice of design theory. Young graduates, full of whimsy, shows strong characteristic style in the shape cutting, color matching, pattern creativity, fabric secondary design from a diversified point of view by applying new visual expression techniques.
