In order to promote cross-strait educational exchanges and cooperation, Yin Xieqi, Director of the Cross-Strait Exchange Center, and Lin Jianzhi, Associate Director of the Department of Culture and Creativity of Lunghwa University of Science and Technology (LHU), Taiwan Province, led a delegation of teachers and students to visit SUES from July 1 to 4. Teachers from Office for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs, School of Art and Design and School of Textiles and Fashion received the visiting guests.
Wang Qin, Director of the Office for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs, on behalf of SUES, warmly welcomed the delegation of teachers and students from LHU and briefly introduced the situation of SUES. She expressed that SUES has always been committed to promoting cross-strait educational exchanges and hoped that the visit of LHU teachers and students could deepen the cooperation and friendship between the two universities.
Director Yin Xieqi expressed his sincere gratitude to SUES for the warm reception, and he hoped that through the exchanges between teachers and students of the two sides, close inter-institutional ties could be established to promote more possibilities for cooperation between the two universities. Associate Director Lin Jianzhi pointed out that the two universities have a high degree of matching in the field of art disciplines, and the two sides can carry out more visits and exchanges between faculty and students in this field in the future.
The visiting teachers and students visited relevant laboratories of School of Art and Design and School of Textiles and Fashion of SUES during their tour. Through field visits and exchanges, teachers and students of both sides have a deeper understanding of each other's teaching concepts, teaching methods and disciplinary characteristics in the field of creative design, thus building a bridge of communication.
In addition, the visiting teachers and students also visited the Bund, Yuyuan Garden, M50 Creative Park, Guangfulin Cultural Heritage Park and other major landmarks and cultural & art parks in Shanghai, which not only enabled them to enjoy the unique charm of Shanghai, but also deepened the understanding and identification of young students from Taiwan on the culture of the motherland.
The visit has built a solid bridge for cross-strait educational exchanges, and it is believed that there will be more similar exchange activities in the future, further promoting the vigorous development of cross-strait education and benefiting students and society on both sides.
