On September 19th, the 23rd China International Industry Fair (CIIF) opened at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. After a hiatus of three years, this remarkable scientific and technological event, the largest and most advanced in scale, featured an abundance of new exhibits and attracted over 2,800 companies from more than 30 countries and regions worldwide. SUES presented 18 outstanding achievements in scientific and technological innovation at the university exhibition area, covering various fields such as biomedicine, digital intelligence, green environmental protection, new energy, and new materials.
During the exhibition, SUES President Yu Tao, Vice Presidents Zhu Xiaoqing, and Wang Yansong, along with Director Lu Zhen from the Shanghai Higher Education Science and Technology Development Center, visited SUES's exhibition area to provide guidance. President Yu Tao attentively listened to project briefings from the leaders of initiatives such as Aircraft Switch Test Technology and Application and Electromagnetic Linear Motor Fatigue Test Machine. He engaged in extensive discussions with young faculty members on topics related to technology transfer and other areas of work. Their primary focus was on eliminating obstacles and barriers that hinder the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, while also igniting innovation and creativity among researchers. This collective effort aimed to foster a deep integration of technology and the economy. SUES's booth and showcased projects drew considerable attention, resulting in the expression of intentions for project collaboration.
Intelligent Laser Perforation Inspection Machine for Osmotic Pump Controlled Release Tablets (OLANDO K3-1): This equipment, boasting independent intellectual property rights, plays a crucial role in the industrialization of osmotic pump controlled-release tablets.
Testing and Maintenance Robot for Electricity Separation Closed Busbars: Addressing challenges in testing and maintaining separation-closed busbars, this robot navigates narrow spaces within busbars, elevating the level of testing and maintenance equipment and ensuring safe operations.
Key Technologies and Applications of Long-acting Anticoagulant and Anti-calcification for Artificial Blood Vessel Materials: After nearly a decade of research and development, this project successfully industrialized the functional biomimetic integration technology of artificial cardiovascular system products, offering stable, safe, and long-lasting coatings.
High-Temperature and Solvent-Resistant Hollow Fiber Membranes and Devices: This innovative fiber material combines nanostructured superoleophobic and superhydrophobic materials with hollow fiber porous membranes, breaking traditional limitations. It exhibits exceptional resistance to high temperatures, solvents, and oil-water separation effects, enabling continuous and efficient recovery when combined with unmanned boats (ships). The patents generated by this project received prestigious awards at international and national invention exhibitions.
In recent years, SUES has strategically aligned itself with the needs of Shanghai and various industries, expanding its influence across the Yangtze River Delta. Capitalizing on opportunities arising from the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Delta integration and the G60 Science and Innovation Corridor, SUES has been diligently working to bridge the gap between its scientific and technological achievements and their practical application in industrial production. Since 2018, the university has established technology transfer and achievement transformation hubs in Kunshan, Yangzhou, Qidong, Wuyi, Wuhu, Xuancheng, and other regions. These initiatives have led to the annual collection and dissemination of over 200 technical requirements and the successful execution of nearly 150 technology achievement transformations, resulting in contract values exceeding 70 million RMB.
