Shanghai University of Engineering Science (SUES) is a local university featuring engineering science, focusing on harmonious development in interdisciplinary integration, such as Management, Art Design and etc. Concentrating on undergraduate education, SUES also promotes well-coordinated development of graduate education, advanced vocational education and adult education. SUES has been the cradle of talented designers, managers and skilled engineers.

SUES is one of the first 200 qualified universities granted the permission by the State Education Commission to enroll international students. In recent years, an increasing number of international students have enrolled in our degree programs and language programs.

Over the past years, SUES has steadily stepped up its disciplines and majors development, scaled up school operation and improved teaching and research competence. The total number of full-time students amounts to 18,000. So far, our university has 5 key disciplines on the local basis, 5 key disciplines by Shanghai Education Bureau, 4 educational bases. More importantly, one key discipline development project has been recognized as a Shanghai Higher Education High-level Feature Program.

Within the last 20 years, SUES has built cooperation with universities and research centers all over the world. Authorized by Education Ministry of China, SUES now offers degree program to foreign students on both bachelor and master levels. What’s more, the Chinese Language and Culture Center of SUES have attracted more than 400 students from over 40 countries, through its high quality teaching with scientific teaching methods and positive teaching attitudes.

The main campus of Shanghai University of Engineering Science is located in Songjiang University Park, taking up an area of nearly 80 hectares. Life on campus is sure to be convenient and enjoyable.
