
On June 4, President Turo Kilpeläinen of LAB University of Applied Sciences, Finland visited SUES.

During the meeting, SUES President Lou Yongqi noted that both universities possess distinctive strengths in cultivating applied innovative talents. He expressed his expectation that the two universities would leverage their respective characteristics, uphold a commitment to innovation, integrate disciplinary and industrial resources, and jointly develop distinctive collaborative projects. These initiatives aim to empower the real economies of both China and Finland and serve the transformation and upgrading of enterprises in both countries.
President Kilpeläinen appreciated SUES for its warm reception and highly recognized SUES’ development philosophy and cooperation proposals. He looks forward to deepening alignment through academic complementarity to achieve diverse and fruitful outcomes in collaboration.

The two sides held cooperation talks on Songjiang Campus, conducting in-depth discussions on short-term student and faculty exchanges, international Project-Based Learning (PBL) initiatives, and dual-degree joint training programs. A roadmap for the next phase of work was agreed upon during the meeting.
Relevant leaders from the International Office, School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, and School of Design (in development) attended the talks.
