Features: this Major is a pilot major approved by the Ministry of Education under the “Excellent Engineer Education & Training Program”, national featured major, a major under Shanghai Education Highland Project; two national engineering practice education centers support this Major.
This Major adopts the university-enterprise joint training model and is reliance on Shanghai automobile industry and transportation industry. the two national engineering practice education centers built by the School, Shanghai Automotive Group Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Shipping Group Co., Ltd. are students’experimentation and practice bases. The School adopts “3+1” university-enterprise jointtraining mode for this Major, namely, 3 years’ study on campus and one accumulative year’s engineering practice and graduation design in enterprises”. Students are expected to be trained into excellent automotive vehicle engineering and technical talents who have engineering practice ability in the field of automotive application engineering.

Employment Orientation:graduates of this Major may work at automobile factories and auto parts factories, automobile sales companies, automobile insurance companies, road transport and management agencies, automobile and transportation enterprises and other enterprises, and engage in testing, detection, design and marketing of automotives andparts & components, thetransportation planning and design, and other technical and management work.
