Features:this Major is one of the first batch of pilot majors approved by the Ministry of Education under the “Excellent Engineer Education & Training Program” and is supported by a national engineering practice education center.

  

This Major closely directed to the needs of China's civil aviation for flight talents due to social and economic development, is relied on the Shanghai aviation enterprises and the university-enterprise strategic alliance, and is guided by school-enterprise integration and production-education integration. The School implements the applied talents training programs under the Excellent Engineer Education & Training ProgramandAcademic Education + License Training” program. In regards to this Major, the School adopts “3+1”directional commissioned training mode, implements paramilitary management, adheres to the coordinated development of theory, practice, physical and mental quality, and focuses on joint enhancement of responsibility, innovation and teamwork ability. Students are expected to be trained into high-quality application-oriented talents who are in line with the Pilot License Standards for International civil Aviation Routes Transport, are internationally competitive, and can assume the posts of civil aviation flight.

  

Eligible in-school undergraduatesmay receive overseas flight training at Falcon, US Hillsboro, IASCO, ENAC,STAA, etc.

  

Major Courses: Electrical and Electronic Technology, Principles of Flight, Aircraft Systems, Aircraft Power Units, Air Navigation, Aeronautical Meteorology, Airborne Equipment, Flight Performance and Planning, Crew Resource Management, Visual and Instrumentation Flight Program Design, Aeronautical Information Science (including aeronautical charts), Fundamentals of Air Traffic Management,   Aeronautical Regulations, Aviation Professional English, Land and Air Calls, Aviation Sports, practical teachings and professional trainings.  

  

Employment Orientation: the School adopts order-based training model. Students sign the commissioned training agreement with the employer; after graduation, graduates work as pilot and drive transport aircrafts for the employer.
