Wu Xiangji, associate professor and postgraduate tutor of SUES Fashion College, is member of Jiusan Society and Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese. He has long worked with textile and garment enterprises, and been invited to be the technical consultant for Shanghai Fashion Institute and Jinde Garment Co.Ltd., the expert judge of China NationalTextileand Apparel Council (CNTAC) and Shanghai government procurement consulting expert. He also provides professional advice for Hong Kong Li & Fung Group, Jiangsu Sunshine Group, Heilan Group, etc.
Research Achievements
Prof. Wu has led and participated in research projects at provincial and ministerial levels, including the prediction analysis of garment processing and lining performance, the establishment of wearability database for cotton garments with computer technology, product development and application of milk fiber, etc. He has published over 60 academic papers covering the Analysis of Quick Response System for Fashion Industry, the Study on Fabric Trends and Designers’ Strategies, Monitoring of Eco-Textile and its Countermeasures, the Study on the Comfortability of Knitting Summer Fabric, the Application of Functional Underwear, the Development and Application of Environmental-friendly Underwear Fabrics, the Study of Textile Industry in Leading Textile-Providing Countries, the Analysis of the Developing Trends of Lining Fabrics, the Development, Design and Application of Denim Fabric, the Study on the Development of Fashion Brands for Silk Companies, etc.
