The curriculum system emphasizes quality education and focuses on combination of strong and weak power, combination of components and systems, combination of tradition and emergence and combination of substantial and virtual matters. The students are trained to be application-oriented talents who can adapt to modernization in the field of electrical engineering talents.

  

This Major includes three specialties: urban power supply, operation and control of electrical equipments, building electrics and intelligentization.

  

On the background of modern urban transmission and distribution system, the filed of urban power supply includes planning & design, regulation & operation, simulation and technical management of power distribution network ;

On the background of electrical equipments of manufacturing industry, the field of operation and control of electrical equipments covers manufacturing, installation commissioning, operation and maintenance, optimization and control of various electrical equipments;

Oriented by the digital city and green and intelligent building, the field of electrics and intelligentization covers intelligent design, application, management and research of building electricity.

  

Main courses: Engineering Mathematics, Circuit, Electronic Technology, Electrical Engineering, Single-Chip Microcomputer Application Technology, Automatic Control Theory, Electrical Engineering, Power Distribution And Distribution Engineering, Relay Protection Principle, Architectural Electrical Design, Modern Power Electronics, Electrical Control Technology, Intelligent Buildings, Clean Electric Energy, Smart Grid Theory and practical teachings.

  

Employment Orientation: graduates of this Major can engage in electrical operation management, electrical design and R&D related to power generation, power transmission & distribution, power supply systems, smart grid; they can also work at enterprises and institutions and take on power distribution and supply, operation control electrical equipments, modern electrical design of urban buildings, operation, maintenance and management of intelligent building electricity system, electrical construction and supervision, etc.
