Zhu Pengfei, male, Ph.D,awarded from Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics. Associate Professor, College of Fundamental Studies, Shanghai University of Engineering Science. +86-21-67791359, zpf@sues.edu.cn / zpfsues@gmail.com.
Research Fields
Professor Zhu Pengfei focuses his academic research on guided-wave optics, Si-based optoelectronic devices, laser glass and graphene optics.
Current Projects:
1. All-Solid-State laser: CW watt-level all-solid-state laser with visible and infrared spectrum is demonstrated by intracavity sum frequency generation.
2. Guided-wave: Surface plasmon, optical waveguide oscillating field sensor, Goos-Hänchen effect in a symmetrical metal-cladding optical waveguide is studied in detail.
3. Si-based optoelectronic devices: Lateral photovoltaic effect and bipolar-resistance effect in Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor Structure.
4. Laser glass: Rear-earth ions doped glass and its properties are studied.
5. Graphene optics: Graphene is a novel two dimensional material with extraordinary electrical and mechanical properties. It also has promising optical and optoelectronic properties: their low energy transitions can be continuously tuned by a gate voltage and fundamentally different behaviors are expected for single- and double- layered graphene. We are developing the optoelectronic devices based on graphene.
