Research Fields

Professor Wang Ping was born in September, 1963 in Tianjin City. She attained Ph.D. in Literature from Shanghai International Studies University. She is now Associate Professor and Teaching Director in the Foreign Language Teaching Department under the School of Fundamental Studies, SUES. She teaches lectures in relation to College English Integrated Course and English Speaking to undergraduate students, and English Integrated Course and Listening Course to postgraduates. Her research field lies in Foreign Linguistics and Applied Linguistics. She took charge of a provincialHumanities and Social Sciences project granted by the Department of Education and participated as a key member in another provincialHumanities and Social Sciences project also promoted by the Department of Education. She directed and completed a research initiation project on college level. She is now undertaking multiple tasks, including coaching a Student Innovation Training Project and participating in a Post-graduate Curriculum Building Project,a12th Five-Year Plan Project as well as a College Teaching Project. She keeps pace with research development by attending academic conventions and seminars frequently. She has published a book titled A Study on English and Chinese Phrase Structure and over 20 papers were adopted by key journals such as Academics, Foreign Language and Literature, Shanghai Journal of Translators, and Hubei Social Science.
