On October 18-19, the 2nd International Conference on Robotics, Intelligent Control and Artificial Intelligence (RICAI 2020) was held successfully at the third lecture hall of the Graphic Information Center on Songjiang Campus. Due to the affection of COVID-19, the meeting adopted a combination of online and offline forms, and the online report was simultaneously broadcast live through the ZOOM conference platform. The conference was hosted by SUES, to be exactly, the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering was responsible for the conference. This conference was co-organized by Watford Institute of Technology, Ireland, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Ningbo University, National Robot Testing and Evaluation Center, Shanghai Robot Industry Technology Research Institute, and Global Research Association. More than 160 delegates from Canada, the United States, India, Beijing, Guangzhou and other places in China attended the meeting.

Two online parallel sub-forums were set up at the sub-venue, and experts and scholars from all over the world conducted in-depth and warm discussions on the themes of intelligent robots, artificial intelligence and intelligent control.

This conference focused on a number of international frontier issues in the field of advanced robot technology, such as remote robot control technology, intelligent monitoring of machine health, pipeline and pipeline detection, etc.. As a result, this conference built an effective platform for academic exchanges and cooperation between domestic and foreign experts and professors and college students in related research fields of SUES, and also provided a diversified channel for outstanding young scholars at home and abroad who are interested in joining SUES. The successful holding of this conference will surely promote the research, application and development of the field of robotics, and better promote the academic research and innovative practice of robots in the fields of mechanical engineering, artificial intelligence and intelligent manufacturing.
