RISE Formula Racing Team Wins National First Prize at 2026 Formula Student China

The 2026 Formula Student ChinaFSC, hosted by the Society of Automotive Engineers of China, recently concluded successfully in Zhengzhou. SUES’ RISE Formula Racing Team secured a national first prize amidst fierce competition from numerous university teams across the country, thanks to their solid theoretical foundation, outstanding engineering practical skills, and excellent on-the-spot performance.

As a major engineering practice competition in the field of automotive engineering within Chinese universities, FSC comprehensively evaluates participating teams’ capabilities in areas such as racing car design, manufacturing and assembly, system integration, vehicle debugging, project management, and teamwork. During this competition, the RISE Formula Racing Team performed calmly and consistently, achieving passes without failures in all mechanical vehicle inspection races. They also successfully completed dynamic events including the sprint, acceleration, high-speed obstacle avoidance, and endurance, demonstrating strong vehicle development capabilities and teamwork.

During the preparation period, the team focused on continuous improvements in areas such as chassis structure optimization, component machining, vehicle debugging, and data analysis. From design blueprints to workshop assembly, and from repeated adjustments to track sprints, team members honed their professional skills and enhanced their ability to solve complex engineering problems through hands-on practice, embodying a rigorous, pragmatic, and ever-improving engineering spirit.

SUES places a high priority on fostering innovation and entrepreneurship education as well as engineering practice skills among students. Adhering to the principle of “promoting learning, training, and innovation through competition”, the university consistently builds platforms for academic competitions, engineering training, and innovative practice, guiding students to ground their efforts in their majors, think boldly, and engage courageously in practice.
