The two sides held an institutional-level meeting and a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Representatives from the International Office, School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, School of Urban Railway Transportation, and the School of Continuing Education attended the meeting.

Xu Yang extended a warm welcome to the delegation and introduced SUES’ efforts to build a world-class application-oriented innovative university with distinctive industrial strengths, as well as its “Engineering + Management + Design” 3-wings framework. The two universities are highly aligned in application-oriented talent cultivation, interdisciplinary development, and internationalization. Going forward, both sides will deepen cooperation in engineering and technology, expand international programs and student exchange channels, advance collaboration in continuing education and short-term programs, and strengthen research and academic exchange among faculty.

Professor Rosa Martinez expressed sincere appreciation for the reception and noted the strong alignment between the two institutions. She proposed developing joint training programs at the undergraduate, master, and doctoral levels, and enhancing cooperation in teaching and research. Both sides will also leverage programs such as Erasmus to promote faculty and student mobility and establish a long-term, stable exchange mechanism. In addition, they intend to expand cooperation in short-term programs during summer and winter breaks, as well as in continuing education, and explore integrated characteristic programs combining academic study with Spanish language learning.

At the meeting, Xu Yang and Professor Rosa Martinez signed the MoU on behalf of their respective universities. The signing marks a substantive step forward in collaboration between SUES and the University of Alicante, bringing momentum to their joint development as application-oriented innovative universities.
During the visit, the delegation also held in-depth discussions with School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering on faculty and student exchanges and research collaboration.
