On the afternoon (at 13:00) of June 20, SUES leaders, led by SUES party secretary Teng Jianyong and SUES president Ding Xiaodong, made an inspection tour of floor pouring, a key component of “simulation flight machine hall” in the construction site of the aviation base project located near No. 5 Engineering Training Building, together with relevant personnel from School of Aviation, Department of Auditing, Department of Finance, Department of Security, Information Office, and Department of Assets Management and Security involved in the management coordination of the project of aviation lab and training base. After the inspection, SUES leaders held a report meeting on the project at the room of project department with leaders from Shanghai No.7 Engineering Construction Group Co. Ltd., Shanghai Jianhao Engineering Consulting Co., Ltd., Shanghai Hugang Engineering Consulting Co. Ltd., Shanghai Education Building Management Consulting Co., Ltd.. At the beginning of the meeting, Ye Feng, Chief of Department of Infrastructure, reported the general progress of the project, pointing out that the project was moving in a smooth and orderly manner with a superior construction quality thanks to the strict and elaborate quality control measures taken by the teams from relevant schools and departments. Ying Zhiming, general manager of No.701 branch of Shanghai No.7 Engineering Construction Group Co. Ltd. made a speech on behalf of construction companies by first reporting the detailed progress of the project, and then thanking the importance attached by SUES leaders to the project and the guidance and support offered by SUES in the project construction management. Ying pointed out that, under the efforts of all parties, there has been a remarkable improvement in project management level with orderly and smooth progress of the project. And this “aviation base” has been designated by Shanghai No.7 Engineering Construction Group Co. Ltd. as the “model project” so as to ensure that it can win “Magnolia Award” for top construction projects in Shanghai. SUES president Ding Xiaodong indicated that the university leaders gave top priority to the construction quality of the aviation base, its security management and progress, and its investment control, and he also , on behalf of the SUES leadership, spoke highly of the arduous efforts made by all working staff involved in the construction of the project, hoping that all the personnel can make constant efforts to guarantee the successful completion of the remaining construction work. In the end, SUES party secretary Teng Jianyong made a speech on behalf of SUES, in which he first of all thanked the participating construction parties for their contributions to SUES’s development, and then emphasized that the aviation base project has a remarkable significance of being the first nationwide project to turn out civil aviation talents located in a local university, and it has also been listed as one of “the key projects in Shanghai” in 2013, and therefore project construction quality control should be strengthened by all parties concerned, and project schedule and progress should be well maintained, and special attention should be paid to construction security and security training in times of flood season, typhoon and heat-waves. |
