In order to respond positively to the Outline of the Development Plan for Regional Integration in the Yangtze River Delta, implement the national strategy for the integration of the Yangtze River Delta, promote the high-quality integrated development of higher education in the Yangtze River Delta, enhance the overall efficiency and core competitiveness of the development of regional higher education, and better serve the overall situation of the development of education in the country, SUES, in conjunction with Changzhou University and Wenzhou University, jointly initiated the establishment of the Innovation Alliance of High-level and Characteristic Local Universities in the Yangtze River Delta, and held a launching ceremony on July 5 at Songjiang Campus of SUES. Xuan Fuzhen, Deputy Director of Shanghai Education Committee, Li Jiang, Secretary of the Party Committee of Shanghai University of Engineering Science, Jiang Juncheng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Changzhou University, and Zhao Min, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Wenzhou University attended the inauguration ceremony of the alliance to witness the signing of the agreement and jointly light the glass ball symbolizing the start of the alliance.
