Dairmuid Hegarty, President of Griffith College Dublin Visiting SUES

On May 15, Dairmuid Hegarty, President of Griffith College Dublin visited our university. Cheng Weiming, Vice President of SUES received the distinguished guest and faculty members of School of Electrical Engineering and School of Management. Staff members of International Cooperation and Exchange were also present.

Vice President Cheng first introduced the guiding principle, framework, and curriculum and cutting edge majors of SUES. He believed that Griffith College and SUES share many things in common in areas such as Economic Management and Computing Science and there is much room for cooperation. SUES will make great efforts to support and promote communication and collaboration with colleges in Ireland in the hope that the interaction between the two schools will upgrade the internationalization level and competitiveness. During the meeting, persons in charge of School of Electrical Engineering and School of Management introduced the majors and their advantages respectively. Further discussion on students exchange was covered.

President of Griffith College, Mr. Diarmuid Hegarty spoke highly of the advanced teaching facilities and environment in SUES. He gave a detailed introduction on the strong majors at Griffith, including Finance, Accounting and computer Software Development. He extended his wish to deepen the ties with SUES and work on the collaboration.
