On May 23, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor at Queensland University of Technology(QUT), Scott Sheppard, came to visit Shanghai University of Engineering Science. They were warmly received by Cheng Weiming, Vice President at SUES. Head of Office of International Cooperation and Exchange at SUES, and staff member of International Cooperation and Exchange Office, School of Management, School of Electric Engineering, School of Art Design, and School of Sino-Korean Multimedia Design were also present.
Vice President Cheng extended warm welcome to the distinguished guests. Then he introduced the framework SUES’s cooperative education model. Mr. Cheng believed that since Shanghai and Queensland became sister cities in May, 1989, there have been productive collaboration going on between two cities in the fields of education, personnel exchange, science and technology, culture, etc. Thus a solid foundation has been laid for further cooperation. He believed that QUT and SUES share many things in common and there is much room for cooperation. He expected more development in the exchange projects in schools of Electric Engineering, Management and Art Design. SUES will promote dualcreditprograms, joint work presentation and study tour projects.
