On June 9, Thomas C.Peng, Associate Vice President accompanied with Christopher Meade, Dean of the College of Business at George Fox University paid our university a visit. They were warmly received by Cheng Weiming, Vice President at SUES. Head of Office of International Cooperation and Exchange Office, School of Management and School of Sino-USA Engineering were also present.
Vice President Cheng extended warm welcome to Associate Vice President, Thomas C.Peng and his colleagues. Then he introduced the framework of SUES’s university-industry cooperation projects. Mr. Cheng mentioned with the deepening of our university’s internationalization; we have established more and more exchange projects with American colleges and universities. The visit of Mr. Peng will help SUES to strengthen its tie with George Fox University and he believed that they could start with promoting teacher/student exchange projects and joint research programs, especially for management majors. He hoped that School of Sino-USA Engineering at SUES will become a window to extend cooperation with American universities and gather more teaching and research resource for students as well as teachers.
Thomas C.Peng, Associate Vice President, spoke highly of the advanced teaching facilities and environment in SUES. He was very glad to see shanghai as a vibrant metropolis with multiple opportunities. He cherished the chance to found a positive relationship with SUES and he said he would spare no effort to promote teacher and student exchange, and joint research projects between the two universities.
Wu Zhong, Dean of School of Management and Christopher Meade, Dean of the College of Business introduced the majors at the schools respectively. Deputy Dean Meng Yong introduced Oriental Management Major to the guests.
After the meeting, Thomas C.Peng and his colleges paid a visit to the Flexible Manufacture Lab in Laboratory Center in SUES with great interest. Then they went to experience the Simulation Metro Control Cabin lab and flight simulation lab.
