At the beginning of the new semester, on the afternoon of February 20, Teng Jianyong, Secretary of the Party Committee of our school, Chen Sihao, Head of Scientific Research Department, Yu Zhishui, Dean of Material Engineering College, Zhang Peilei, Yanhua, headed to Bao Steel Rolling Strip Technology Ltd.(abbreviated to Bao Steel Rolling Strip below) to hold a communication meeting on cooperation of production, study, research between our school and the enterprise. Yuan Lei, Vice General Manager of Bao Steel Engineering Technology Corporation, first introduced that in 2013 the corporation integrated four enterprises manufacturing rolling strips, including Chang Zhou Rolling Strip, Jiang Nan Rolling Strip, Ke De Rolling Strip, Bao Ri Rolling Strip, into Bao Steel Technology Rolling Strip Ltd. This integration meant that Bao Steel Rolling Strip would form an operative pattern of complete value marketing and explore a new commercial pattern which mainly depended on technology, increased the ability of serving the steel industry, kept in pace with the advanced international technology and connected with international advanced businesses. Secretary Teng Jianyong then briefed on “Bao Shan Steel Share Ltd--Shanghai University of Engineering Science Joint Education Agreement”, signed this year by Bao Steel Corporation and our school. The two sides both agreed on the need to find the breakthrough point under the strategic and cooperative agreement and discussed a further cooperation in the field of high energy beam area and high value added repair rolling strip. After that, Li Shihui, Vice General Manager of Bao Steel Rolling Strip Ltd and General Manager of Jiang Nan Rolling Strip Ltd, showed Secretary Teng Jianyong and Dean Yu Zhishui and so on around the rolling strip heat treatment and rolling strip repair workshop and gave a detailed introduction to Bao Steel Rolling Strip’s major products and manufacturing process.
