On the afternoon of February 19, led by Cai Longhai, Deputy Director of Science Committee of Pudong New District, Chen Shaoxiong, Vice President and General Secretary of Shanghai Biological Medicine Profession Association, Huang Yuanliang, Director of the Dental Department of Oriental Hospital, Jiang Jinpeng, Director of Boards of Shanghai Zhongwei Robotics Company, Li Ming and Pei Haitao of Science Committee of Pudong New District, arrived at our school for a meeting on cooperation of production, study and research. Secretary Teng Jianyong attended the meeting and Chen Sihao, Director of Science and Research Department, presided over the meeting. Secretary Teng Jianyong warmly welcomed the group led by Cai Longhai and gave a detailed introduction to our school’s development history, education orientation, education policies and characteristics. The two sides touched upon topics like the cooperation pattern between university and government, profession association and technology park as well as cooperative innovation system. Mr. Teng pointed out that our school ought to actively plan, boldly take on the responsibility, tale a proactive role in city innovation transition of Shanghai. The school needs to fully develop the university’s technology and intelligent advantage, meet the national strategy and Shanghai economic and social development demands, enhance the ability of school serving society and promote the school’s technological transfer. Professor Liu Xiaoxia of Fashion Design College, Hang Lubing, a professor from Mechanical Engineering College, Liu Xiang, an associate professor from Electronic and Electric Engineering College, Teacher Wang Xiaofen, Huang Lixin from Engineering Training Center and Zhang Fan, an associate professor, gave an introduction respectively to their research projects involved in textile, remedy products, sport sensibility, auto safety system, cutting tools and medical robots. The leaders and experts had a face-to-face communication with the teachers as to innovation of each project, market demands, research line, government support and so on, and provided tremendous constructive suggestions. Cai Longhai introduced the development plan and policy of scientific industry development in Pudong District. He said that through this communication they had a further understanding of scientific research, knowledge results of SUES and hoped that all the colleges of SUES may launch substantial cooperation based on their discipline characteristics with Pudong New District in terms of structure, park and carrier.
