The new year 2014 is around the corner. On the afternoon of December 31, our school held a 2013 Welcome New Year Communication Meeting on the 19th floor of Administrative Building of Songjiang Campus, in order to send the most sincere gratitude and earnest greetings to teacher and student representatives who had made great efforts for the glory of SUES in the past year, and the most beautiful new year blessings to all teachers and students, foreign experts and alumni and offered a platform for teachers and students to communicate and interact. President Ding Xiaodong, Vice Secretary of the Party Committee Tian Xincan, and Pei Xiaoqian, Vice Presidents Sun Peilei, Cheng Weiming, Shi Jianyong and Lu Jiahua attended the activity.
At the communication meeting, the school leaders warmly shook hands and took photos with teachers and students present, sincerely thanking them for remarkable contributions they made for the school construction, and encouraging them to make better achievements in the coming new year. The viewing hall was full of happy and harmonious atmosphere.
Party Secretary of SUES branch Teng Jianyong extended his sincere gratitude and spring greetings to those who have worked hard for development of SUES, and recollected the series of outstanding achievements all the school members have obtained through innovation and advancement in the past year. He pointed out that the 18th Session of the Third Plenary Session was held in 2013, providing an important opportunity for a new round of transition development of our school. Each member of SUES must seize the opportunity in the coming new year and work hard together for the dream of building a university with modern characteristics.
At the meeting, Chai Xiaodong, Dean of City Metro Transportation College, Gu Jiahua, a senior student, and Tang Yuxin, respectively represented teachers and students who had made excellent achievements in the past year talked about their feelings and experience at work and study, and expressed their best wishes and sincere blessings for school development.
President Ding Xiaodong gave a high recognition of the breakthrough our school had made in all causes of 2013, and pointed out that the year 2013 was the transition year for SUES, and 2014 is a crucial year for school development. The hard work of 2013 has laid a solid foundation for the success of 2014. With the mutual efforts of teachers and students, the social reputation of SUES will certainly continue to grow and internal construction will make new breakthroughs and the school development will surely have a brilliant future.
The sincere wishes of teachers and students present to future development of school won rounds and rounds of warm applause and the festive atmosphere enveloped the hall. In amicable and happy atmosphere the meeting recalled achievements, looked to the future, expressed their pride and splendor, making teachers and students inspired and fully confident for the tomorrow of SUES, and more determined and enthusiastic to work and study in the new year.
