The opening ceremony was attended by leaders and representatives from Shanghai Municipal Development and Reform Commission, Shanghai Municipal Transportation Commission, Shanghai Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau, Shanghai Municipal Safety Supervision Bureau, Shanghai Municipal Urban Planning Bureau, the Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau, Safety Supervision Bureau, Shanghai Municipal Fire Department, Shanghai Municipal General Quality Supervision Station, Shanghai Municipal Construction Archives, Shanghai Municipal Health supervision Institute, Pudong Urban and Rural Construction and Transportation Commission, SUEC, Rail Traffic Professional Committee of Transportation Industry Association, Shanghai Shentong Metro Group Co., Ltd., Shanghai Rail Transport & Public Transport Corps and the Units engaging in design, construction, equipments, installation, supervision and other matters of rail transit. Vice President Shi Jianyong delivered a passionate speech and read out the list of experts.
Shanghai Rail Transit Line 16 starts from Longyang Road Station in the south and ends at Nanhui New City in the south, and passed through the four zones, namely, Zhou Kang Comprehensive Economic Zone, Hangxin Business Zone, Huinan Science and Education Economic Zone, Datuan Urban Agriculture Zone. The rail line connects Lingan New City (within the construction planning of Shanghai Municipality) with the downtown area closely and will greatly contribute to the construction of Lingan New City. Under the organization of our university, the rail line from Luoshan Road Station to Dishui Lake Station passed through the expert review of trail operation conditions on November 22, 2013, and it was opened for trial operation on December 29, 2013. Now the rail line from Longyang Road Station (Transfer to Line 2 or Line 7 ) to Middle Huaxia Road Station with a length of 7.05 km will be open.
The on-site testing is an additional procedure in the course of new line trail operation review. From 22: 00 p.m. of November 26 to 02:30 of the next day, the three expert team carried out Longyang Road Station power system security testing, Longyang statio fire alarm linkage testing and train safety testing respectively. The testing results can more objectively indicate whether Line 16 (Longyang Road station - Luoshan Road Station) has fulfilled the basic trial operation conditions. With trial operation safety and fulfillment of basic service requirements as the key task of review, the experts conducted the site testing, field inspection, information examination and group discussion; the experts gave a high comment on the construction and trial operation preparation of Line 16.
At the closing ceremony, Vice President Shi Jianyong extended his cordial gratitude to Shanghai Municipal Transportation Commission for its great support, to the industry association for its great help and to various units of Shentong Metro Group units for their cooperation! Zhou Zhun, Inspector of Shanghai Municipal Transportation Commission made a concluding statement. He affirmed the experts’ work and our university’s organizational work, and required to solve the problems found in the course of review and make further rectification in a timely manner.
The expert review of the basic trial operation conditions of Shanghai Rail Transit Line 16 (southern section of the former Line 11) (Longyang Road Station-Luoshan Road Station) ended with a success with the concern and much support form leaders of our university. Vice President Shi Jianyong participated into in all aspects of the expert review. This review is not only a university-industry collaboration landmark work for SUEC, but also an iconic landmark for Shanghai 2011 Collaborative Innovation Center --- the service industry of the Rail Operation Safety Inspection & Collaborative Evaluation Innovation Center.
