SUES recently welcomed two groups of reviewers from ASIIN, who conducted on-site assessments of five undergraduate programmes: Data Computing and Application, Vehicle Engineering (School of Urban Railway Transportation), Textile Engineering, Welding Technology and Engineering, and Materials Forming and Control Engineering. During the assessments, the panels reviewed programme objectives, curriculum design, practical components of the curriculum and quality assurance. They also visited laboratories and training facilities, examined documentation, and held discussions with SUES leadership, faculty members and student representatives.

The assessment feedback meeting on Oct.22
The assessment feedback meetings were held on 15 October for the Data Computing and Application programme and on 22 October for the other four programmes. He Li, Secretary of the CPC SUES Committee, and Xia Chunming, Vice-President of SUES, attended the meetings, together with heads of administrative departments and schools and faculty representatives.
The panels highly commended SUES for its achievements in industry-education integration, faculty development, talent cultivation and quality assurance. They also offered suggestions on programme development and strategic planning, as well as laboratory upgrading and renovation. In response, university representatives expressed their appreciation for the panels’ feedback and pledged full support for the follow-up work. SUES will take the panels’ recommendations on board and translate them into concrete improvement measures, with clear timelines for implementation.
SUES sees international program accreditation as an opportunity to evaluate its programs against international standards and identify areas for improvement. The university will continue to strengthen its quality assurance system and use the insights gained through international accreditation to drive ongoing improvements in undergraduate education.
