Recently, Elsevier officially released its 2025 Highly Cited Chinese Researchers list. SUES had five scholars successfully selected based on their outstanding academic influence, they are Sheng Xiaozhen, Wan Shuping, Xiao Changfa, Zhang Hengyun, and Zhou Nanrun. Their fields of expertise span Mechanical Engineering, Management Science and Engineering, Textile Science and Engineering, and Control Science and Engineering, etc., highlighting SUES’ solid foundation and strong momentum of development across multiple disciplines.
The Highly Cited Chinese Researchers list is based on the global authoritative academic database Scopus. Through a comprehensive analysis of citation frequency, academic quality, and other dimensions of scholars’ research outputs, it identifies top researchers with global influence in their respective fields. This year’s list includes a total of 6,310 scholars from 543 universities, enterprises, and research institutions, spanning 10 discipline categories and 83 primary disciplines recognized by China’s Ministry of Education. The selection of SUES’ five scholars serves as both a high affirmation of their individual academic achievements and a concentrated demonstration of SUES’ recent progress in discipline development, research innovation, and talent cultivation.
Looking ahead, SUES will further strengthen the development of its talent recruitment and cultivation programs, as well as its research and innovation platforms. It aims to continuously enhance its core disciplinary competitiveness, strive to produce more landmark achievements in key fields, and provide stronger intellectual support for national and regional economic and social development.
