On March 28th, 2024 Spring Job Fair for College Graduates Spring Employment Promotion was held at SUES. This job fair adopts the whole-process employment empowerment mode of “career planning + internship + employment recruitment” to comprehensively promote high-quality and full employment of college graduates in Shanghai, attracting more than 1,200 employers to come in for recruitment and providing more than 3,600 positions, with the number of recruitment demand reaching more than 24,000 people.

To support the transformation and development of Shanghai's urban areas and cultivate more high-quality skilled talents, five universities including Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Tongji University, Shanghai University, Shanghai University of Engineering Science, and University of Shanghai for Engineering and Technology, along with five new vocational colleges including Shanghai Minhang Vocational and Technical College, Shanghai Construction Management Vocational College, Shanghai Modern Chemical Industry Vocational College, Shanghai Science and Technology Innovation Vocational College, and Shanghai Nanhu Vocational College, jointly signed a “Memorandum of Pairing Cooperation between Universities” at the launch ceremony. This memorandum aims to integrate employment with teaching, and through mutually beneficial cooperation, jointly promote the cultivation of high-quality skilled talents.

The high-quality and full employment of graduates relies on the concerted efforts and responsible actions of enterprises. Since 2018, the Shanghai education authorities have facilitated the establishment of the Shanghai University Pre-employment Workshop, bringing together industry enterprises and universities. This initiative focuses on enhancing students' learning abilities, practical skills, and innovation spirit, while strengthening the active involvement of industry enterprises in formulating professional talent training programs. Since its inception in 2018, this initiative has been hosted by 15 universities, involving 42 participating institutions and over 1600 participating students. It not only provides a training ground for internship experiences for university students but also establishes a reservoir of high-quality talent for enterprises.
