Online Meeting of “Collaborative Innovation Alliance of High-level Applied Universities in G60 S&T Innovation Valley of Yangtze River Delta” Held at SUES

On the afternoon of March 3rd, SUES hosted the first online meeting in 2021 of the Standing Council of Collaborative Innovation Alliance of High-level Applied Universities in G60 S&T Innovation Valley of Yangtze River Delta. Li Jiang, Chair of the University Council; Song Suwei, deputy director of the Joint Conference Office of G60 G60 S&T Innovation Valley of Yangtze River Delta; Xia Chunming, Vice President of SUES; Shi Qinfen, Vice President of Suzhou University of Science and Technology; Fei Weiyin, Vice President of Anhui Engineering University; Zhang Mingzhuo, Dean of Research Institute of Zhejiang Normal University; Wu Yunda, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee of Jiaxing University; Chen Xiu, Vice President of Hefei University; Zhang Deping, Vice President of Zhejiang University City College; Pangbo, Vice President of Xuancheng Vocational and Technical College; Liu Shifeng, Director of Social Cooperation Department of Huzhou Normal University.The meeting was presided over by Vice President Xia Chunming.



In his speech, Li Jiang, Chair of the University Council, briefly introduced the achievements made since SUES became the chairman of the Alliance. He said that the construction of G60 S&T Innovation Valley of Yangtze River Delta has risen to the national level, and the Alliance should meet the needs of the joint office and industrial enterprises of G60 S&T Valley with higher quality, and better serve the construction of G60 S&T Valley. He put forward four requirements and suggestions in this regard: Firstly, we must constantly improve the alliance system and mechanism to provide all-round guarantee for the development of the Alliance; Secondly, we must vigorously serve the science and technology and industrial innovation of G60 S&T Valley; Thirdly, we must strive to build a high-quality applied higher education cluster in the Yangtze River Delta; Fourthly, we should strive to create a new situation of cooperation and exchange among colleges and universities.



Song Suwei, deputy director of the Joint Conference Office of G60 S&T Valley and leader of Science and Technology Innovation Team, congratulated the universities in the Alliance on their achievements. Combining with the actual work of G60 S&T Valley, he put forward two suggestions on the joint development of the Alliance and G60 S&T Valley: Firstly, we should dock the national strategy, implement key work, and establish strategic cooperation in a targeted manner, realize resource sharing and complementary advantages, and highlight the characteristics of university alliances; Secondly, we should intensify the innovation of system and mechanism, further project and industrialization, work together to implement important work in key areas, and take the lead in applying demonstration experience to the Yangtze River Delta and even other parts of the country to form more innovative achievements that can be replicated and popularized.



At the meeting, Chen Hao, Secretary General of the Alliance Secretariat and Director of SUES Academic Affairs Office, summarized the work of the Alliance in 2020 and introduced the work plan of the Alliance in 2021. Colleges and universities of the Alliance introduced the related work since the establishment of the Alliance and exchanged the work plan of the Alliance in 2021. The colleges and universities attach great importance to and look forward to connecting supply and demand in more dimensions between the Alliance and various industrial clusters in G60 S&T Valley in the new year, and expect universities to deepen exchanges on mutual recognition of credits, co-construction of talent teams and sharing of resources, so as to create new achievements.
