Recently, the Shanghai Intelligent Equipment for Pharmaceutical Preparations Engineering Technology Research Center was approved as a construction project by the Shanghai Science and Technology Committee.
The main task of Shanghai Intelligent Equipment for Pharmaceutical Preparations Engineering Technology Research Center is research and development in the field of pharmaceutical preparation and intelligent equipment. The goal of this center is to upgrade the intelligent manufacturing level of Chinese pharmaceutical enterprises, to shorten the gap of intelligent equipment for pharmaceutical preparation with developing countries, fasten the process of Chinese intelligent pharmaceutical manufacturing with the methods of multidisciplinary integration and innovation, so that China could become a pharmaceutical power. The center strives to become a leader in the area of intelligent equipment for pharmaceutical preparation in China, as well as an innovative research base, integrating academic research, product development and achievement transformation. The approval result of this center plays an important role to further improve the discipline construction level in SUES, such as pharmaceutical engineering, machinery and control engineering, and also in the field of interdisciplinary integration.
In recent years, SUES has attached great importance to the construction of interdisciplinary disciplines and the development of platforms, it has elaborately organized the declaration of research platforms, and actively cultivated provincial and ministerial-level platforms. In June 2019, a university-level research institution “Pharmaceutical Intelligent Formulation and Intelligent Manufacturing Research Center” was established under the initiative of academician Hou Huimin. After more than one year of hard working, the research center has set up a cross-disciplinary team with the disciplines as pharmaceutical engineering, machinery and control engineering, the team made achievements in the field of intelligent equipment for pharmaceutical preparations. The approved center is an upgrade version of the university-level research center, which will further boost the process of intelligent equipment for pharmaceutical preparations and it is also an important part for the construction goal of Shanghai Intelligent Equipment for Pharmaceutical Preparations Engineering Technology Research Center.
