Program Introduction: It’s a four-year bachelor of arts degree program. This program is a national characteristic program and a highland of undergraduate education in Shanghai. It focuses on interdisciplinary studies, which is supported by the creative industry with the integration of multi-disciplinary knowledge such as Public Art, Landscape Design, Interior Environment Design and Environmental Mapping. It mainly studies the design of living environment for high-density urban space. It also emphasizes students’ humanistic consciousness and the cultivation of artistic creativity when designing small-scale space and structures. After graduation, students can not only access to the large planning design and research institute for design and research work, but also build creative studios that improve the quality of micro-scale and micro-environment in their community, so as to improve the quality of the environment space in community, streets and other compact space of life for functions such as life, work, leisure and so on.
