The 16th National College Students' smart vehicle competition ended successfully on August 25. A total of 2916 teams from 482 colleges and universities participated in the two major competitions of speed and creativity. After the sub division selection competition and the national online final, SUES won 3 national second prizes, 1 third prize, 1 East China first prize, 4 second prizes and 2 third prizes in the 2021 national college student intelligent vehicle competition.
The team guided by teachers Yue Min and Xu Huayuan of the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering won the National Second prize of the single-vehicle pull group, the team guided by teachers Zhao Chunfeng and Pu Yonghong of the Engineering Training Center won the National Second prize of the energy-saving beacon group, the team guided by teachers Chen Dexin and Zhao Chunfeng of the engineering training center won the National Second prize of the Intelligent Vision Group, and the team guided by teachers Zhang Yujin and Wu Fei of the School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering won the third prize of iFLYTEK smart restaurant group.
Founded in 2006, the National College Students' Intelligent Vehicle Competition is an exploratory engineering practice for college students all over the country. The Competition includes theoretical design, actual production, vehicle commissioning, on-site competition and other sections. College students are required to work together on teams and experience the whole process of engineering research and development of projects. The Competition has been extended to the United States, Europe, Japan, South Korea and other countries and regions, and has developed into a global large-scale event.
