On November 17th, according to the AACSB (Association to Advance College Schools of Business) international business accreditation workflow, entrusted by the AACSB Alliance, Lawrence Rose, the accreditation mentor and former dean of the Business School of California State University, San Bernardino, USA, held an online meeting with President Yu Tao at the Administration Building 204 to comprehensively evaluate the relevant accreditation of the School of Management Studies, SUES. The main leaders of the School of Management Studies and relevant members from the Academic Affairs Office, International Cooperation and Exchange Office and AACSB Accreditation Office attended the meeting.
President Yu Tao introduced SUES to Professor Lawrence Rose from the aspects of teaching, scientific research, international cooperation and quality assurance, emphasized the importance of AACSB business accreditation to the development of the university, and indicated that accreditation is the guarantee of the quality development of SUES.
Hu Bin, Dean of School of Management Studies, reported on the continuous progress of professional construction, discipline construction and talent training in the past year on AACSB accreditation standards.
AACSB attaches great importance to the progress of School of Management Studies, and Professor Lawrence Rose, as an expert of AACSB accreditation guidance, expressed his full recognition of the progress of the accreditation. The two sides also conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on how to implement the strategic planning of SUES’s development.
In April 2021, the School of Management Studies passed the AACSB Eligibility Application (EA) at one time. In July 2021, it got in touch with the accreditation mentor and started the preparation of the self-assessment report iSER, indicating entering an important stage of the accreditation. At this meeting, the School of Management Studies fully demonstrated the strength and determination of business construction, which helped deepen the AACSB's understanding of the School and laid a solid foundation for SUES to further promote international development, realize high-quality teaching and high-level scientific research.
