In the recently announced list of winners of the National Competition of The 6th Milan Design Week - Exhibition of Excellent Works by Teachers and Students of Chinese Universities in Design in 2022, the works of SUES teachers and students of School of Art and Design stood out from the many entries and won 5 first prizes, 6 second prizes, 13 third prizes, 2 academic prizes and 1 excellent prize in the National Competition. The works of the faculty and students of the College of Art and Design won 5 first prizes, 6 second prizes, 13 third prizes, 2 academic prizes and 1 excellent prize in the national competition, and 12 first prizes, 30 second prizes and 49 third prizes in the Shanghai competition.
Milan Design Week - Exhibition of Excellent Works by Teachers and Students of Design Disciplines in Chinese Universities (Milan Design Exhibition for short), has been selected as the List of Competition Projects within the Ranking of National Academic Competitions in General Universities. It is co-sponsored by China Education Association for International Exchange and China Higher Education Association since 2016, aiming to take advantage of Milan Design Week and Milan International Furniture Fair, an internationally renowned design industry event held in Milan, Italy, every year, to build an international learning and exchange platform to showcase the design students and teachers of universities nationwide.
