From November 5th to 10th, the Fifth China International Import Expo (CIIE) was held at the National Convention and Exhibition Center. 97 “Little Leaves” -- volunteers of CIIE from SUES worked at the Consulting office, comprehensive service area, automobile exhibition area, food exhibition area, and the Volunteer Home. They provided consultation, road guidance, exhibition reception, explanation, logistics support and other voluntary services. SUES leaders visited the volunteers multiple times and appreciated them for showing the SUESers on the big stage of CIIE.
On the evening of November 8, President Yu Tao came to the closed-loop management park of the CIIE Volunteers in Songjiang Campus and expressed his appreciation for the these 97 volunteers. President Yu pointed out that they should adhere to the requirements of epidemic prevention and control and serve the national event with full spirits.
On November 9, Zhu Xiaoqing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of SUES, came to CIIE to visit the volunteers. Ding Bo, Deputy Secretary of the Youth League Municipal Committee, met with Zhu Xiaoqing. Ding expressed his sincere thanks to SUES for its support to the volunteer service, and affirmed their enthusiastic volunteer service. Zhu carefully inquired about their volunteer work and accommodation conditions, and encouraged them to learn the cutting-edge knowledge at CIIE and improve their professional ability.
On November 7, Xia Chunming, Vice President of SUES, also came to CIIE to visit the volunteers. He hoped that everyone could seize the opportunity to participate in the service. He also hoped that when the volunteer returned to SUES after finishing the volunteer service, they would share the volunteer experience with other students and drive them to make progress together.
