2022 Sino-Swedish Joint Management Committee Meeting Held Successfully

On the afternoon of November 25, SUES and the University of Applied Sciences Graubünden, Switzerland held a video conference of the Joint Management Committee of Sino-Swiss Cooperation in 2022. President Yu Tao, Vice President Xia Chunming, and President Jürg Kessler of University of Applied Sciences Graubünden attended the meeting. Wang Qin, Director of International Cooperation and Exchange Department, Zheng Shubin, Dean of School of Higher Vocational Education, Xiao Qian, Vice Dean of School of Higher Vocational Education, Andreas Deuber, Head of International Cooperation Department of University of Applied Sciences Graubünden and Patric Arn, Dean of College of Tourism attended the meeting, which was hosted by Vice President Xia Chunming.



President Yu Tao and President Jürg Kessler expressed their warm greetings to the members of the management committee and colleagues of both universities. President Yu firstly congratulated the University of Applied Sciences Graubünden for entering the Swiss 2030+ Project, President Jürg Kessler for being elected as the representative of the University of Applied Sciences to the Board of Directors of the Swiss Association of University Presidents, and also congratulated FHGR for starting the construction of the new campus after the referendum next spring. President Yu stated that with the joint efforts of both sides, the two universities completed the signing of a new three-year cooperation agreement and also successfully passed the evaluation of Sino-foreign cooperation in Shanghai. We hope that the cooperation between the two universities will create more opportunities for students' education and exchange between China and Switzerland, and become a model of friendly cooperation in education between the two countries.


President Jürg Kessler of the University of Applied Sciences Graubünden reviewed the work history of the Sino-Swiss cooperation program. President Kessler expressed his hope that the two sides would meet offline next year to celebrate the ten years of successful cooperation on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the Sino-Swiss cooperation.



President Zheng Shubin of School of Higher Vocational Education, together with Patric Arn, Director of Swiss Tourism College, and Thuc Lan Tran, Director of Sino-Swiss Cooperation Program, introduced in detail about the 2022 Sino-Swiss Cooperation Program from the aspects of student body situation, financial budget, curriculum adjustment, teachers' mutual visit and teaching quality management respectively. Xiao Qian, Vice President of School of Higher Education, reported on the recent Sino-Swiss international exchange and cooperation activities.


The meeting reached a number of consensus, and both sides expressed that they would take the 10th anniversary of the Sino-Swedish Cooperation Program as an opportunity to further promote practical cooperation in a wider range of areas and push the cooperation between the two universities to a new level.
