Realizing the grand slam of the interdisciplinary projects of designing for the first time
In 2022, the School achieved the grand slam of projects supported by the National Social Science Foundation of China, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Late-Stage National Social Science Foundation, the Humanities and Social Sciences Foundation of the Ministry of Education, the Shanghai Philosophy and Social Sciences Planning Foundation, and the Shanghai Art Science Planning Foundation.
The design discipline ranking in the top 30% (51st)
In 2022, among the best disciplines in China, School of Art and Design ranked 51st, entering the top 30%. In the professional ranking of Chinese universities in 2022, School of Art and Design has made remarkable achievements in eight undergraduate programs.
Shanghai Industrial Design Center, a municipal scientific research platform established for the first time
The Industrial Design Center of Shanghai University of Engineering Science, which was built under the auspices of School of Art and Design, was successfully recognized by Shanghai Design Innovation Center. The horizontal project (Digital Hydraulic Hoist Design) passing the appraisal of the Ministry of Water Resources for the first time
In August 2022, the new product project of Digital Hydraulic Hoist Design of Changzhou Zhongsheng Hoist Technology Co., Ltd., which was completed by Professor Gao Zhu of School of Art and Design as the main member, passed the new product appraisal organized by the Ministry of Water Resources of China for the first time.

Winning national foreign expert project for the first time
Professor Ye Xiaoxian of School of Art and Design was approved for the 2022 National Foreign Experts Project.
