On the morning of May 6th, SUES held a signing ceremony of the One-million Fund for Industry-Education Integration Development with Suzhou Elite Machinery Co., Ltd and Tanaka Metalworking (Shanghai) Co., Ltd on Songjiang Campus, in order to deepen the integration of industry and education and promote the cooperation between the University and enterprises. President Yu Tao, Vice President Xia Chunming, Chairman and Vice General Manager of Suzhou Elite Machinery Co., Ltd Wang Hongjun and Du Zhaoying, General Manager of Tanaka Metalworking (Shanghai) Co., Ltd Wang Duolin , Director of the President's Office Wang Jiajie, Director of the Foreign Liaison Office Zhu Bei, Dean and Vice Dean of Higher Vocational and Technical College of SUES Zheng Shubin and Xiao Qian, together with representatives and experts of enterprise attended the ceremony. The meeting was chaired by Zhu Bei, Director of the Foreign Liaison Office.
President Yu Tao expressed his welcome to the arrival of Chairman Wang Hongjun and General Manager Wang Duolin, as well as his thanks to the enterprises for their support to the development of higher education, and then briefly introduced the development of SUES. He pointed out that the development of applied colleges and universities should follow the law of education and the law of market, so that the school-enterprise cooperation can give full play to the respective resource advantages of universities and enterprises. It is hoped that both sides will take this contract as an opportunity to make greater contribution to industrial transformation and local economic and social development. At the meeting, President Yu Tao presented the donation certificate to Chairman Wang Hongjun.
Chairman Wang Hongjun affirmed the excellent performance and social acclaim achieved by the SUES in the past 40 years since its establishment based on the modern industry, praised the system of industry-education community of shared future built by SUES with the relevant enterprises on the platform of the strategic alliance of industry-university-research. He expressed his hope that, based on the cooperation with Higher Vocational and Technical College of SUES, they would deeply integrate into the educational reform and development, explore the establishment of evaluation standards and quality supervision system for skilled talents, taking up the mission of training applied talents on the enterprise side.
At the meeting, all the parties signed the donation agreement together. On behalf of SUES, Vice President Xia Chunming accepted the donation check of education fund totaling 1 million RMB from Suzhou Elite Machinery Co., Ltd and Tanaka Metalworking (Shanghai) Co.,Ltd.
Zheng Shubin, Dean of Higher Vocational and Technical College of SUES, introduced the background of the preliminary cooperation between the two sides. The participants also had an in-depth exchange on talent training, practical training base construction, international skills competition, international project introduction, product development and design, and skills training.
After the meeting, Chairman Wang Hongjun and General Manager Wang Duolin visited the Boeing 737-800 Simulator Project, Shanghai Collaborative Innovation Center of Intelligent Manufacturing Machine and Auto Technology for Large Components, Orbital Rolling Contact Friction Wear and Fatigue Laboratory and 5G+ Artificial Intelligence Application Joint Innovation Laboratory.
