On January 16, joint education between Bao Steel Share Ltd and SUES took a substantial step and the agreement signing ceremony between the two sides was held in SUES. Chu Junsheng, Vice Secretary of the Party Committee of Bao Steel and Ding Xiaodong, President of SUES, as representatives of two sides, signed “Bao Steel Share Ltd--Shanghai University of Engineering Science enterprise school joint education agreement”. He Wenbo,General Manager and Director of Boards of Bao Steel Share Ltd, and Teng Jianyong, Secretary of the Party Committee of Shanghai University of Engineering Science, unveiled the high-skill Talent Development Joint Education Basis together. At the meeting, Qin Changdeng, Dean of Talent Development College of Bao Steel, introduced cooperation background and demands and Liu Qizhong, Dean of Vocational School, introduced cooperation ways and development direction between two sides. As a big flag of China steel industry, Bao Steel’s marriage with Vocational School of SUES this time signaled that the school depended on the powerful enterprise and introduced German “Dual”vocational pattern in the real sense ahead of the other schools in China, and this was a new page for innovative high-skill talent development pattern. According to the agreement, Vocational School of SUES will cooperate with Bao Steel to hold “Bao Steel Electric Machinery Integration Class”, which majors in electric machinery technology and application and studies for three years, and the two sides, combining with major features, co-created “Bao Steel-SUES Electric Machinery Integration Technology major cooperation and high-quality skill talent development implementation program”, based on the joint education principle of “double bodies, double bases, double faculty” and according to cooperation policy of “advantage complement, resource sharing, production combined with study, joint development”. The two sides center on vocational activities, build four ladder-type course group work of vocational quality, vocational development, vocational technology and vocational ability, take courses together, manage together, develop together high-quality skillful talents with metallurgy equipment operation maintenance and operation skills, who recognize Bao Steel enterprise culture, quickening and promoting Bao Steel skill talent development. The joint education is a “Dual”vocational pattern in the real sense promoted by Vocational School of SUES and Bao Steel for the first time in China. Apart from the traditional German “Dual”education pattern involving conditions like “double places”,”double identities”, “double faculty” and “double textbooks”,the two sides will sign an pre-employment agreement with students of that class, allowing them to become preliminary employees of the enterprise. When the study is over, Bao Steel will formally employ students who have passed the examinations, got the diploma and relevant middle-level vocational qualification certificate, are evaluated to be above 90% in overall achievements, sign the employment contracts, and enter into Bao Steel to work. In addition, Vocational School’s “Shanghai High-Skill Talent Development Basis” also provides tremendous advantages for the joint education. The joint education is a deep cooperation of complete process, and complete orientation between high vocational education with industry from admission to employment, a way of presenting SUES’s pattern of “joint education, joint talent development, joint innovation”.
