Under the organization of Shanghai Human Resources Service Center and in order to further procure the employment of 2015 graduates and promote the massive graduates to be fully employed, 2014 National Human Resources Market Employment Service Week for College Graduates & Employment Service Month for Shanghai College Graduates, SUES Campus Job Fair was successfully held by our university on November 24 at Information Center of SUES Songjiang Campus.

Accompanied by Director Xu Yang and Deputy Director Zhou Hui from the Students’ Affairs Department, Vice President of our university Sun Peilei and Deputy Director of the Shanghai Human Resources Service Center Li Ming attended this job fair and had cordial conversations with the participating employers; they extended their gratitude to the employers for their long-term support of our university’s employment work, learned about employment status of some graduates and took care about the difficulty of job hunting. The party and administrative leaders of each school also attended the job fair.

Kerry, Director of the Industry-Academy Cooperation & Education Center of University of Waterloo (a Canadian university) also came to the site and visited all places of the job fair with great interest; she even talked with some students during her visit. When the job fair was over, Kerry said that she was greatly impressed by her visit, hoping to have more learning and exchange opportunities in the future. She expected that the two universities would further strengthen ties between the two,  expand communications and deepen cooperation so as to jointly make greater achievement in their work.

123 companies (employers) were attracted to set their employment booths, offering 1541 jobs positions for graduates. This fair also attracted 4,200 graduates from seven universities of Songjiang University Town. The job fair brought about a good result, with employers receiving 5835 resumes and intending to employ 684 persons on the site. The employers participating in the job fair mainly needed graduates of the following majors: automotive engineering, transportation, machinery automation, mechanical automation, chemical materials, international trade, international freight forwarding, logistics management, business administration, marketing, graphic design, accounting, finance, multimedia design, etc. The instructors of each school in charge of employment work actively kept contact with and strengthened communication and exchange with enterprises; they even kindly recommended graduates to the related enterprises. Students also brightly expressed that because numerous work units invited by our university could provide so many job positions suitable for their majors, they would have more chances to be interviewed and employed. They would cherish this opportunity to sign employment contract with a work unit as soon as possible so as to live up to the expectations of their parents and our university.

As a large employment event, this job fair has once again built a successful  employment platform for our university graduates and employers, providing ample information on recruitment and job positions. Thus this fair created more opportunities for our university graduates to obtain well-suited jobs and promoted employment of our university graduates on a high-level development route.
