On the morning of April 9, the 12th Shang Hai Education Fair started at the Shanghai Exhibition Center by Shanghai Education Press Group under the guidance of Shanghai Municipal Education & Health Work Party Commission and Shanghai Municipal Education Commission. The Fair is divided into the following five exhibition zones: municipal-level education, district/county education and higher education, higher education, experimental modeled high school and IT enterprises. With the theme “Education Lays Foundation for the Future and Future Comes for You”, nearly one hundred live events, including simulated classrooms, lectures of special-grade senior teachers, interactive Chinese traditional culture performances, will be held to demonstrate the core highlights, practical experiences and innovative examples which have gained in the past five years of Shanghai education reform and depict the vision and future of Shanghai integrated education reform from multiple angles. Party Secretary of Shanghai Municipal Education & Health Work Party Commission Chen Kehong, Director of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission Su Ming, and Vice Party Secretary and Vice Director Gao Deyi attended the opening ceremony.
Our university was invited to participate into the Fair to demonstrate the achievements which we have made in the past 36 years since foundation. Prior to the Fair, our university collected from each school and functional department excellent exhibition works that can reflect the school-running characteristics and educational level; in addition, with an aim to show to the public our university’s education concepts, recent highlights, implementation of the teaching team incentive plan for backbone teachers, initiatives of running the university by law, progresses of college students’ innovative undertaking in the university science park, scientific and innovative achievements and progresses of international cooperation and exchange projects, our university gathered the President’s Office, Research Department, Department of Teaching Affairs, School of Art and Design and other functional departments together to select and design the exhibitions works in an elaborate manner. Thus the society would have deeper and more comprehensive understanding about the development status and future vision of our university.
On the first day of the Fair, Vice Party Secretary Xia Siyun and Vice President Cheng Weiming accepted the interview by Shanghai TV, Shanghai Education TV, Shanghai Radio Station, Jiefang Daily, Xinmin Evening News and other media.
The Fair will last four days from April 9 to 12. Teachers and students are welcome to the Fair.
