On June 15, the “2023 Best Chinese Majors Ranking” was released by Shanghai Ranking Consultancy, an organization which evaluates undergraduate majors. SUES moved up 2 places from last year’s ranking to take 22nd place for transportation majors. The Best Chinese Majors Ranking is currently the most comprehensive ranking of undergraduate majors in China, it covers the most majors and has the most majors participating than any other ranking of the same sort.
School of Urban Railway Transportation, SUES has persisted in deepening the development of top-notch undergraduate majors and promoting continuous improvement in professional construction. Its 2 programs, Railway Traffic Signal and Control placed 10th in the B+ class, and Transportation 22nd in the B+ class, both among the top 20% of all programs in China.
The School has always had a goal of establishing itself as “industry-leading and domestic first-class”, and has followed the cutting-edge trend of railway transportation industry development, achieving numerous breakthrough achievements. The School recently received approval for a project titled The Innovation Base of Intelligent Equipment and Safety and Emergency of Railway Transportation, which is a provincial-level platform, and an innovation base of the transportation construction industry of Shanghai Municipal Transportation Commission. The fact that SUES was the only university lead unit demonstrates that fully SMTC recognizes the achievements of the transportation discipline construction made by SUES.
