Research Fields

Shanghai Research & Development Center for Key Technologies of Intelligent Equipments of Ultra-Intense Laser Processing is an interdisciplinary and substantive knowledge service platform for colleges and universities approved by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission in September 2013. The Center is based on the scientific and technological resources and other advantages of the discipline superiority of Shanghai University of Engineering Science in the field of "laser intelligent processing equipment", the Shanghai teaching, research and pilot base of the kilowatt laser processing, Alliances of Industry, Academia and Research Community and Application Demonstration Base of Shanghai Ultra-Intense Laser Processing, Shanghai Municipal Education Commission (fifth) key disciplines of "materials precision molding and processing". The center is aimed at development of intelligent processing equipment of ultra-intense laser shocking, key technology and equipment of intelligent laser surface modification, key technology of flexible robot laser welding manufacturing, key technology and equipment of intelligent ultra-intense laser cutting. Director's responsibility system under the leadership of the Council is implemented. The director general of the Council is Professor Zhang Jie, President of Shanghai Jiaotong University, and also a member of Chinese Academy of Sciences. The director of the center is Professor Ding Xiaodong, the President of Shanghai University of Engineering Science.
