Shanghai Municipal Education Commission audited and approved Shanghai University of Engineering Science and IFA of Paris in 2002 to co-found School of IFA Fashion Designing of SUES. The school aims to further improve the quality of teaching fashion design in our country, introduce world-class curriculum and teaching model in fashion design, and cultivate outstanding senior talents in the field of fashion design with the help of Sino-foreign cooperation and the advanced theories and concepts. Groupe Syndical Educatif de la Mode en France, one of the six world famous fashion schools in the world, has a high education in the global fashion industry. The school began to officially enroll full-time four-year undergraduate students in September 2002.
