SUES won a Second Prize of National Teaching Achievements Award

Another piece of good news is coming to SUES after 17 Teaching Achievement Award of Shanghai Municipality being gained this year. According to an official document issued by Chinese Ministry of Education, SUES’s “the Innovation Practice of Cultivating International Cruise Short-supply Personnel with Government, Industry, Academics, Research and Employment’s Strength Combined”has been awarded the Second Prize of National Teaching Achievements.

Awarded in every 4 years, the Prize of National Teaching Achievements in High Education, noted as “4 Grand National Prizes”along with State Natural Science Award, Technological Invention Award and Science and Technology Progress Award, is the highest prize in teaching and education granted by Chinese government.

43 Teaching Achievements from 19 colleges and universities in Shanghai took part in the competition this year, and 33 Teaching Achievements from 15 colleges have been awarded finally. SUES is one of them. According to the statistics, SUES ranks 7 among all Shanghai colleges and universities and 2 (just second to Shanghai University) Shanghai’s local colleges and universities in terms of awards number at National and Municipal level.

The great achievement was a huge success of SUES’s consistent education innovation and optimization of talents cultivation organism. In the future, SUES will fully develop Teaching Achievement Award’s model function to drive and lead the whole university to achieve greater progress through continuing education innovation, improvement of school-running and talents-cultivating system.
