On November 27 to 28, 2014 Annual Conference of University-Industry Cooperative Education Branch, China Association of Higher Education was held in Chongqing with the theme of “University-Industry Cooperative Education & Talents Training Model Reform”. Experts and peers from nearly 200 universities and enterprises attended the conference. Vice President Sun Peilei, Director of Student Affairs Division Xu Yang, Deputy Director Zhou Huiyan of our university were invited to attend the annual conference.
At the conference, Director of Higher Education Teaching Evaluation Center, the Ministry of Education and Director of University-Industry Cooperative Education Branch, China Association of Higher Education Professor Wu Yan first made a theme report entitled “From Four Cooperations to Collaborative Innovation”. He highly affirmed our university’s cooperative education models in his report.
Subsequently, the Conference proclaimed the results of outstanding papers and presented awards. Six papers of our university won the awards. The original president Ding Xiaodong’s paper “Theoretical Innovation and Practical Exploration of Three-Collaborative-Model University-industry Cooperative Education” won the first award; Xu Yang’s paper “Research on the Excellent Engineer Training Model Based on University-industry Cooperative Education and Teacher and Director of Students’ Affair Office of Electronic and Electrical Engineering School Su Yin’s paper “Research on Influence of University-industry Cooperative Education on College Students’ Employment Competitiveness” won the second award; in addition, another three papers won the excellence award; the number of awards heads the list of universities and colleges in China. On the Integrated Forum in the afternoon, Director of Students Affair Division Xu Yang make an exchange report entitled “Deepening the Talent Training Model Reform by Adherence to Demand-oriented Industrial Development” and shared our university’s Industry-academic educational experience with domestic colleagues, which aroused wide concern among other universities.
University-Industry Cooperative Education Branch, China Association of Higher Education (formerly China University-Industry Cooperative Education Association) is a national organization in the field of university-industry cooperative education; our university is a vice president unit of the Association. By participating in the annual Conference, our university not only enhances the exchanges and cooperation with the other national universities, enterprises and institutions, but also expands influence in the circle of national higher education. Our university will continue to deepen the new university-industry cooperative education reform and constantly consolidate the leading status of our university in the field of domestic university-industry cooperative education.
