On June 24, 2014-2015 China College Fustal League National Finals ended successfully in Beijing. Our university team was defeated by Beijing Sports University team 7: 2 and won the runner-up, setting a best record in the history of the High Level Football Team.
The Fustal League was sponsored by the China University Sports Association, beginning with the Division Series. Then Nanjing University division series and Peking University division series were held in May of 2015; the home and away finals were held during June 12 to June 24. The football teams from more than 400 colleges and universities across China participated in the Fustal League. Our University athletes worked hard all the way through to won the Championship in Nanjing University division series, obtaining a best record in the history of the High Level Football Team. In the semi-final, our University team beat Nanjing University team 7: 2 in the first two rounds and entered the final, in which our University team was defeated by Beijing Sports University team and won the runner-up in the end.
As spokesperson of the Xtep futsal league, “Ukrainian nuclear warhead” Shevchenko personally attended the final in Beijing. In the second round of the national final, the host team, Beijing Sport University team beat our University team 5: 2; however, our university athletes were not discouraged and actively created opportunities, but they missed championship in the end due to slightly inferior strength. So far, 2014-2015 Xtep China college futsal league officially came to a close.
