2015 Graduates from Sino-French School Interprets “Super Generation” with their Works

 On October 13, the Fashion Show of 2015 graduates from Sino-French IFA Fashion School – “Super Generation” was held on Changning campus. 60 suits of unique and creative clothing works from Shanghai and Paris campuses were collectively shown on the runway. The clothes assembles the inspiration and creativity of 2015 IFA School graduates with unique personal characteristics, and presents a high level of visual gluttonous feast in the fashion world.

The event was attended by guests from various institutions and enterprises, including Tong Jisheng (Chairman of Shanghai Textile Group), Hao Jianping (former Party Secretary of Shanghai Dian Ji University), Shao Feng (general manager of Shanghai Textile & Fashion Development Co., Ltd.), Dai Zhiyi (Deputy Executive Director and Secretary-General of Shanghai Garment Industry Association), Li Xin (Senior Designer of China Fashion Designers Association), Zhang Zhiyuan (Chairman of Shanghai Luo Hui, etc. President Xia Jianguo and former Vice President of SUES Chen Lihua also watched the graduates’ runway show. 

Young designers uses the dress language to interpret the theme of “Super Generation” from different angles in a unique manner. Li Jiecheng, a Chinese graduate, designed Electronic Nature Women Series; in his works, he used beautiful fantasies of the organic combination between intelligence and nature as the basis for his conception, and even utilized the inspiration of electronic regeneration plants in the design of printing, creative fabrics and clothing. Carmen Lee, a US graduate, used “seed” as the carrier and tried to explore how to conserve the seeds with different curvatures and shapes based on his study of some extinct species of various plants. While Maria Tverdokhleb, a Russian graduate, was inspired by former Soviet military uniforms; she transformed the military uniform into women’s dress but reserved solemnity of military uniforms; and the transformed flowing silks and organza fabric tells sadness left by the war history and has a soft silhouette effect.

Through runway show, 2015 graduates from Sino-French School present to the audience  design concepts full of human feelings. These cutting-edge designers draw inspiration from a wide range of platforms, combine with the production process of different cultural heritage and thus bring a touch of fresh air to the Chinese fashion world.
